MP5
The MP5 Navy is the cream of the crop when it comes to Sub Machine Guns. It is definitely one of the more popular guns in Counter-Strike, and not without good reason. It's cheap, and well worth the price. In the right hands an MP5 user can go up against those toting rifles and still come out on top.
Advantages First, let us examine the advantages of the MP5-Navy. As I mentioned before, its $1500 price tag makes it the perfect weapon when cash is running low. It allows the user a large amount of maneuverability. Its rate of fire is pretty damn fast. This high rate of fire coupled with the MP5's relatively low recoil keeps it effective in nearly all combat situations. The MP5 is also quite quiet, especially compared to rifles such as the AK; use this to your advantage.
Disadvantages There are few disadvantages to the MP5-Navy; the biggest one being the low amount of damage that it deals out, especially against Kevlar-wearing opponents. The MP5 forces its user to make his or her shots count. Also, the user should not take the MP5's low recoil for granted. Jumping and excessive movement will ensure that a lot of your bullets fly around your target instead of hitting it.
Usage CQB (close quarters battle) In CQB, the MP5 user has a distinct advantage, and that's maneuverability. The player should attempt to use movement to throw off his victim's aim. The first thing to keep in mind in CQB is not to panic. Remain level-headed and try to anticipate your opponent's move. A good tactic here is circle strafing, which is circling around your enemy while shooting to minimize injury to yourself. Circle Strafing will throw many rifle users off and help you dodge bullets. Keep in mind that most rifle users will be crouched while aiming at you; this makes their head a perfect target. So keep circling them as you burst 3-5 shots at their head/upper chest area. Often the recoil will carry, bringing your bullets up to their head level. Try not to spray and pray or you may soon find yourself with an empty clip and your opponent staring at you down the barrel of his gun.
Medium Range Combat Using the MP5 in medium range combat is a bit trickier. If you're defending, try to stay behind cover so that you'll be able to strafe back and forth for quick strafe shots at the opponents chest, neck, or head. Again speed is the key. A SMG user is faster then a rifle user, and by moving you can keep damage to you at a minimum. Try not to empty a whole clip on one opponent, instead use 3-5 round bursts. Remember: quality not quantity. If on the first shot you hit the enemy in the head, pull your aim down a bit and continue firing. By doing this, you'll be able to keep hitting your opponent in the head without stopping to adjust your aim. It is important to get your first few shots in; this will stun the opponent and make finishing him off much easier.
In offensive rushes with the MP5, try to soften your opponent up with some grenades. For example, on dust2 in the dark tunnel to bombsite A, bank grenades and flash bangs off the wall into the middle of the site. This will make your rush a bit easier, as the enemy team will be temporarily stunned. Use this chance to rush full out. Be sure to run in erratic patterns towards your enemy, using short bursts to stun them. Aim high, and score as many headshots as possible. Spraying will leave you vulnerable if more than one enemy is present, as you'll have to reload in the middle of the fight.
Long Range Combat Contrary to popular belief, the MP5 is not totally useless at long range. Short, 2-3 round bursts are surprisingly accurate, and can stun your opponent. Even if you do not get the kill, your teammates will appreciate the cover-fire. Don't go full auto at this range as you will be just wasting your bullets. Try to stay near cover so you can run behind it if necessary. Grenades can also help you a lot. Tossing a flash-bang or an HE grenade can shift the tide of battle to your favor. If you are going against snipers armed with the AWP, keep moving and use the grenades to your advantage.
Misc. Tips and Team Tactics Although the MP5 is accurate while running, you won't hit much if you jump and shoot at the same time.
Try to keep confrontations to 1v1; going with an MP5 into multiple enemies with their guns aimed at you is not a good idea. If you have to fight multiple enemies, always try to win the flank. This will make things considerably easier for you and allow you to systematically eliminate your enemies.
Since you can go through a MP5 clip very fast, have a good sidearm. I recommend the Desert Eagle or USP. Often, it is a better idea to switch to a sidearm than wait for a full reload. Also, the DE can come in handy if you want to shoot through a crate or a wall.
The MP5 can be used stealthily. If you're one of the last players on your team, hide in a busy choke point behind a crate or in a dark corner and wait for an enemy to pass. Afterwards, walk behind him and then let loose a volley of lead right into the back of his head (hey that rhymed). The element of surprise is what can give an MP5 user the advantage over a more powerful gun.
In clan matches, if your team wins the pistol round you should consider buying the MP5 with Armor and grenades instead of the Colt. The MP5 rips through unarmored targets like a hot knife through butter. Also, if you do end up losing the round, you will still have some money left over for the next round. Pairing up an MP5 with an AWP is a great idea. The MP5 will stun opponents, stopping them in their tracks and giving the AWPer an easy shot.
The MP5 is also a great offensive or cover-fire weapon. A team of 5 rushing full speed ahead with MP5s blazing is a hard thing to stop.
Let's recap! Here is a list of do's and do not's.
do » keep on the move. » fire in 3-5 round bursts. » use stealth to track down opponents. » buy grenades. » travel with your team. The MP5 provides great cover-fire! » aim for the upper chest or head. » use your sidearm.
do not » go full auto at every opportunity. » stand still in the open. » go Rambo against multiple enemies. » jump around like a rabbit. » do drugs!

Colt
The M4A1, Colt, or whatever it's called in retail version *bah*. Quite possibly the best gun in the game to experienced players and newbies alike. Just about any well-balanced player will always seem to have a bit more of an edge with a colt than with the terrorist equivalent,The AK. Let's take a look at a few reasons why this is true.
The silencer has been a long-debated topic with any of the CS weapons. While equipped with a silencer, the colt will lose some of its power and just a bit of accuracy. The trade-off, of course, is definitely less noise. Everyone, even the pros, seem to argue about whether or not to use a silencer. Personally, I prefer the silenced version of any gun because of the stealth and the power loss isn't significant enough to me to make any difference. A silencer is great when your among the last few people left standing. If they do hear your shots, most likely won't be able to tell where the sound came from. If you take the time to master the M4A1 with silencer, you'll most likely become just as effective as if you'd taken time to master it without the silencer, so it's just a matter of preference.
As with most guns, the colt is best used in bursts. A 3-4 shotburst followed by just enough time to let your crosshair settle a bit is ideal, though this gun also is among the top when it comes to going full auto and still maintaining decent accuracy. Tip: Only go full auto if you are in close range or your enemy is almost dead and you just need the one final shot to finish him off. The m4a1's recoil tends to send the crosshair towards the upper right of your screen when you shoot, so if you think you've mastered the weapon, try and go full auto while adjusting your aiming to hit your target.
For sniping with the colt, aim at the chest, the most noticable part of the body. A 2 round (occasionally 3) burst while crouching is perfect for sniping with the Colt. The first shot, if you aligned it right, will hit the chest, and the second will move up slightly and be right at the level of your target's head. If you miss the second time, strafe a bit to the side. Wait until your crosshair settles (about 1/4 a second), and repeat. If they're already damaged, it'll probably take them out on your first burst, and if not, the second will normally take care of them.
While approached in close-ranged combat situations with the M4A1, the best thing to do is usually just to go full auto until your opponent's dead. There are acceptions, but this is normally true because of the M4A1's relative accuracy.
The colt's accuracy and stealth make it an easy favorite over the AK. This is probably part of the reason CTs always seem to have an advantage. You will always find Terrorists happy to have picked up a colt or mad at someone for letting them lose their Colt by dying. So next time you see one of those pretty, black, delightful things on the ground, pick it up.

AK-47
Yes! Thats right. The title says it all! For the AK-47, it uses 7.62mm slugs, in which punchs through kevlar like cardboard. Only used for terrorist, its cheap, yet powerful. Good enuff for the average lack-of-dough or the experienced terrorist.(not mentioning its a fav. with people like me)
Kay, u may say its darn inaccurate and its disreputatable as its "cheapo". But here is the catch, its good and powerful and cheap, and it could be accurate if u know how to use it. Also, a few bullets in the back, never fails to take an enemy out. This concurs with "camping" too.
Pro: Cheap, powerful, fast.
For the AK to be accurate, u have to tap it. shoot in burst. i personally reccomend 2 shot burst. Then, give it time for the cursor to tune back before firing. For far ranges, crouch. The trick is to aim at the chest or slightly above.(u can aim for head of course, if u are good enough.) The first bullet will take him in the chest, stopping him enough just for the second bullet to nail him in the head. this is because of the recoil the AK has. I will touch on that in the cons. Also, for medium-long ranges, u can use it to snipe. Just crouch, aim for the chest or head and tap away. For up close and personal, do wat it should do, get in and blast away. The bullets will rip the kevlar and the body apart within seconds. Theorically, 8 bullets in the chest is enough to kill, even with kevlar on. (Up close).
Cons: Slow-medium reloading, bloody inaccurate when full-auto, eats up bullets but only have a 30-round clip, Hard-recoil.
The recoil helps the bring the second bullet up slightly, so, when aiming for the chest, the second bullet may hit the head. Thus the 2-shot burst instead of 3-shot. For full-auto, move your mouse slighty down when firing as the recoil will bring your gun up.
Some pple might look down on AK, thus, usually underestimating the power because of the Cons. Comparing the Pros and the Cons, the AK-47 is still a formidable weapon to be with, if u are skilled enough with it.
Circle strafing is definately a formidable tatic as it would allow the AK to strip the CTs to bits in seconds.
Tips:
1) For far ranges, Crouch, Aim, shoot in 2shotburst to the chest. 2) Never, ever blast full-auto like a madman when u see your enemy a few feet away. Your bullets will most probably miss. 3) If u are close enough to recognise his gun, unlike the above. For god sake shoot his head off! 4)Always reload after a kill. AK eats bullets like a cow eat grasses. 5)For goodness sake, keep your stealth. Don't be a madman blasting at nothing! You will wake up the whole city, annoucing where u are. 6)The AK-47 has movement stopping power. Once the enemy is hit, its hard to escape the second round and so on and forth. 7)Don't scan. The rate of fire is not as high as mp-5. concentrate your fire and your enemy will be down faster then u expected.
